Philadelphia Museum of Art has changed its name to Philadelphia Art Museum. That change is fine. However, I remember Olde City having an E at the end, and I’m still furious about its removal.

Such a powerful exhibit. I know I didn’t understand it all, but I felt an important shift within myself learning some lessons about “twoness”. Amazing, powerful, beautiful art. whyy.org/articles/the...

It was an awesome trip and we probably only saw about 25% of what was on exhibit. There’s so much to see. So cool. I highly recommend visiting the #PhillyArtMuseum
There was some new art too. This piece called “Bundle” is from 2022. Take a close look at the yellow bundle. That’s the piece. The house is just for context. The cool part is the the bundle is actually ceramic! #PhillyArtMuseum
Couldn’t group this with the other ceiling pics, but here’s the info #PhillyArtMuseum on the ceiling.
Then we saw some more Asian art. This mural was cool and the other images are of the ceiling. Only a few pieces of this are original. They built the rest to match. It was spectacular. #PhillyArtMuseum
Then we went downstairs. Basically you make your way through the Middle East and into Asia. The helmet and shield were cool, but the literal crystal ball and the amazing stand it was on was even cooler. #PhillyArtMuseum
The gift shop had this gem #PhillyArtMuseum
First exhibit was quilts by African American quilters. They were beautiful in how handmade they were. They were made from worn clothing and other scraps that held the history of the family. These quilts told the story of the quilter’s family. Very cool. #PhillyArtMuseum
