One of my hiking buddies, trail name Cedar took this photo of me in the high Sierras. I am facing away from the camera carrying my trekking poles in a vast plain with low vegetation that has turned brown with the autumn chill. There are rocky mostly treeless peaks in the distance with a dusting of new snow. The sky is blue.
