The land for Pine Creek was annexed in two phases: east of Sheriff King Street in 2005, and west in 2011.
Construction of the development began in 2019, and the community remains under extensive development today.
At the 2021 census, #PineCreek had a population of only 245.

Yesterday, we completed walking all of the publicly accessible, occupied residential streets in #PineCreek.
In the process, we covered a distance of 15.90 kilometres.

Creekstone Hill SW descends 16 metres from top to bottom, ending at the actual Pine Creek
A view of Creekview Park SW. Many homes are already occupied, even though half the street is still under construction.
Creekside Blvd SW in Sirocco felt especially serene compared to the other areas we walked today.
This road, just south of Sheriff King and Creekview Drive, once led to a farmyard that’s no longer there. To the left, you can spot one of the greens at Sirocco Golf Club.
Let’s take a look at some of the sights of #PineCreek, a community still transforming into a livable neighbourhood.

Saturday's 0.68 km, 10 minute walk around Creekstone Hill SW. Only about half the houses on this street are occupied. Lots of empty lots still not built on
Today's 2.12 km, 28-minute walk took us through the parts of Creekview where people are actually living—surrounded by nonstop construction. Just completely chaotic. I don't know how they do it.
Another walk today: a 0.70 km, 10-minute loop around Creekstone Park and Creekstone Landing—another pocket of completed homes where people are already living. No construction on these streets.
And lastly, we did a 1.45 km, 18-minute walk through a part of the Sirocco section of Pine Creek—also relatively free of construction.
We took our first walk in #PineCreek on Saturday. Today, we returned to explore a little more.
Pine Creek is still deep in construction, especially south of Creekside Blvd, where only scattered pockets of completed homes are occupied. Today, we visited 3 of these lived-in pockets.
