I've become temporarily hyperfixated on Pizzica Music from Southern Italy, especially from Puglia/Apulia. It's sublime ancient trance music, meant to be medicinal, cure ills, possibly goes back to the mystery cults of Ancient Rome, such as The Dionysian Cults.
