Our second pinch point is the revelation about how the fancy high technology earth has is powered, they are drawing power from- and thus torturing- captive space kaiju. This is why kaiju keep attacking. They can sense the trauma from their captive fellow kaiju.

Overusing magical girl powers burns parts of your body away to power the attacks.
Neither Rose Blossom nor Razor Lily has the power reserves to do the ultimate attack needed to kill the Basilisk.
So... One or both of them aren't surviving.

And "Justice". Sometimes Virgil feels like a coward for not picking up the pitchfork and scouring the world of evil. Virgil seems to attract crusaders, one way or another.

Micah grew up religious, yet she was taught to pursue education, especially by her father, so she has always lived with internal tension. She lived in majority spaces as a girl of color, so as an adult, she can adapt to various environments but exists as an outsider.

Brooke grew up in a family that didn't have time for her, so she functionally raised herself until magic interfered & she found her last bridges burned. Naturally, she heads out on her own cynical, untrusting of adults, & determined to create her own future.
Micah is intelligent, curious, resourceful, & fairly open to diverse perspectives. She is also assertive, but recognizes time & place.
But…she is a product of her Pentecostal upbringing, prone to guilt & shame when she doesn’t conform. She’s also a runner…when the going gets tough, 🏃🏽♀️💨 . #Plotober
