You can use the plums freshly cut, or cut and previously frozen. Tossing them with sugar and spices works too.
I like to toss mine with a little white sugar and cardamom. But I'm a big fan of cardamom.

- Steam or boil for 10 minutes or bake at 350 for 15 minutes
- Serve with melted butter and brown sugar
I use a three layer steamer for my dumplings. Hubby likes his baked.

- Heat water with ¼ cup sugar, add yeast and make sure it’s active.
- Combine yeast water with everything but plums
- Let dough rise
- Roll out dough and cut in to squares
- Fold one plum into each square
