A poem written in white letters displayed on a black background designed to look like lined notebook paper. The poem with its title reads as follows:

The Final Shepherd

Death is the last friend we make,
the last hand we hold,
the last eyes to see us.

The last to embrace us,
to appreciate us in our rawest soul deep essence,
Death is our final companion in life's great adventure.

Our final guide,
the last to carry us to the ultimate beyond,
Death takes us not as a sad spirit but as beautiful gifts from the depths of life's creation.

I wrote this back in February but it feels appropriate to share it now considering recent personal events in my life.
