I didn't go further with this one because it didn't have the energy or composition I was looking for. I might keep the wing motif in the back when I do the digital version, though. Jamie's a very boisterous, outgoing character, and I felt like this piece just didn't do that any justice. It was a good starting point, though.

The same woman, this time in a uniform similar to those of the previous pieces, but including some elements of the canon Gold Ranger uniform, in a half-crouched action pose. Behind her is a stylised wing and a chariot wheel, a starburst radiating from behind it. Still not entirely happy with the composition here, but the pose is more what I was looking for. Jamie's got a new Ranger form now that looks a bit more like the rest of us SDA Rangers, but I wanted to add some elements from the canon Gold Ranger suit to make it stand out a bit more, since these special Rangers always have to have more drip than the main team. Again, I'll have to play with the composition a bit more when I do the digital versions of these pieces.

Behind him is a stylised crescent moon, with the phases of the moon drawn inside it. i know i messed up the moon phases don't look at me the whole goal of this was just straight up aura farming. yes, this pose isn't as dynamic as the other pieces in the series, but it's still really fucking cool in my opinion. Vince was previously our Black Ranger before he, Cody, and our former Red Ranger, Jamie got nuked by Rita, and then he came back in the recent arc as the Phantom Ranger with some insane drip. his player is currently quite sick as i'm posting this, and i hope he gets well soon. <3

sixth in the series is Vince, our Phantom Ranger, as The Moon. bc y'know, it represents illusions-- phantoms, illusions...it sounded cooler in my head orz

Surrounding him are various constellations; Monoceros, Cygnus, Draco, Leo, Cetus, and a made-up triceratops constellation (because there are sadly no dinosaur constellations) The perspective didn't come out how I hoped it would here, but I'm still pretty happy with this. I wanted to give a nod to when Cody repaired the blue, red, and black power coins, which were shattered when Rita dropped an arcane nuke on us to sever our connection to the Morphin Grid. Who needs Ninjor when we have Cody? ...Also I had to take inspiration from someone else's art for the triceratops constellation. I don't feel great about that. I'll make up a better one when I get around to doing digital versions of these pieces.

fifth is our Silver Ranger, Cody, as the Hermit. the brains of the group, who recently did something very stupid and got yelled at for it. (don't worry, he feels bad about it now)

The circle in the center is divided diagonally, with one half being the green dragon power coin and situated behind the younger man, and the other being the Time Force insignia and situated below the older man. The wheel is surrounded by glyphs. I actually like how this one turned out more than the last two. I think I really nailed the uniforms and weapons here, as well as the expressions. I wanted to show a sort of longing for what could have been- Oz lost ten years of his youth in what was maybe only a month or so for his friends, and that's gotta be rough on a person. I didn't want to put Oz in his new uniform since I wanted to keep the past and present aspect, it just wouldn't have given the same effect, and I found out that the VA for Vergil from DMC also played Eric Myers in Time Force. Bro is just built different.

Zeek is, for the most part, a super positive character, and I wanted to show that here with his pose looking hopeful and cheerful. I like the composition of this piece a lot- I was worried that it would look too busy, but I think it turned out just fine. Goes to show what happens when you trust the process lol

third and fourth, we have our Red Quantum Ranger, Oz, as the Wheel of Fortune, and Zeek, our Pink Ranger, as the Star.

We're not gonna talk about how much trouble the Power Coin gave me lmao. This piece isn't as intricate as the last one, since I felt that adding more would make it too busy. The only way I could probably improve is if I added some stuff digitally, and I don't currently have access to a tablet DX I really like how the pose came out, though.

This series is really just an excuse for me to play with dynamic poses and perspective lol. I don't get to do that much, so this is a bit of a foray into uncharted territory- I don't have the confidence to do these 'epic' scenes often, but I think I really nailed it here. My mum (who teaches studies of religion) told me that, in religious art, saints pictured with one foot outside of the scene is symbolic of them existing in both the spiritual and material realms- this rings true for Sage, since she's been able to achieve some crazy things since discovering her arcane abilities and honing them with help from Lady Fienna, who takes Zordon's place in this setting, and becoming her "High Priestess". More recently, she was able to astral project herself into the Grid to deliver a warning to the person who killed our Orange Ranger to sleep with one eye open, then returned in one piece. ...She also disintegrated Lord Zed in our last session and oops Rita's not gonna like that lol
