Example of a suitable cage:
This was Maurice's cage. This is a budget friendly bin cage from IKEA (Samla series, 130L). Maurice loved this cage very much and lived like a fairy in an enchanted forest 💕 🌾

- cannot pay hamster savvy vet bills

- want your hamster to cuddle you when YOU want it

A screenshot which reads:

Taking your hamster outside can be very dangerous for them, these are just a few reasons why:

Outside, hamsters could catch a tiny illness, parasite, etc.
Even using a playpen, slightly uneven ground can lead to a form of escape.
Cats, dogs, birds, or other animals could easily attack or scare your hamster.
Taking your hamster out at night could make it extremely hard to see them, especially if they were to get loose.

A discord screenshot which reads:

Hamsters are nocturnal, and should not be disturbed during the day. Even if awake, the bright light and direct sunlight can be very bad for them.
It’s difficult to tell if it’s too hot / cold / windy for the hamster outside. Example, it may feel okay to you, but the same grass may feel much cooler to them.

Keep in mind that even if you are watching your hamster carefully, things like this can and have happened very quickly, leaving you with too little time to react.

‼️REMINDER‼️

do not ever take your hamster outside unless they’re in a carrier to go to the vet!!!

a large hamster enclosure from birds eye view. it is one hundred and twenty centimetres long and sixty centimetres wide. there are lots of branches, tunnels, hides, dried flowers and leaves. there is a large sand bath in the far end which takes up one third of the enclosure. in the sand bath there is an eleven inch wooden hamster wheel, a terracotta tunnel, an acorn shaped ceramic hamster hide and a candy jar on it’s side with beech chips in it.
