the product placement that was discussed by patty was so interesting,i rewatched it and was like wow omg, and her reasoning of it being a daytime show for housewives therefor products would want to finance. it drove that story, which then drove pattys. i should do the same #propsarenotjustprops #hwa7
one prop that stood out to me was the small everyday objects like toys or household items because they felt more emotional than functional. they made me realize that in my own project, objects can carry meaning beyond just being part of the scene #hwa7 #propsarenotjustprops
One prop in Painted Dreams that felt charged to me was the Mcdonalds toys. I just connected to those right away because I would always collect them when I was younger. I think these props showed the passion to make these projects and connect it to Patty’s childhood. #hwa7 #propsarenotjustprops

The fidget spinner felt the most visceral just because it threw me back to 2017 and I remember hearing just how much my school hated it on the loudspeakers.
At times, I even tried to make it look like it was in my POV. But then, as the watcher, is that POV then theirs, too? I am interested in how a prop may lend to that same effect, and if I can achieve that by connecting it with the third voice. #hwa7 #propsarenotjustprops

(the spinning plus the stare accompanying it). It played into the passiveness, but directly snapped me out of it. The stare snapped me back into the moment: "Oh, I am currently watching Painted Dreams." In my SME3, I intentionally keep faces out as much as I can.

The fidget spinner! I mentioned this before in various tweets, but it is a prop found in both seasons. It felt at first like a play on real life. Other times, it felt as if it were playing into the hypnotic passive watch viewers can fall into +
