I am so surprised that nobody has written a pykerett fic where Mr. Rye has an “affair” with his driver during their first visit at The Glitz Room. (Spoilers for Startdust Rhapsody: Anthem ep 5) Like in this context they’re in an established relationship but like also they still got their baggage and cope how they can. So like Pyke is kind of still moping about his ex and his past, so to remedy that he just starts drinking a lot and heavily flirting with Rett. They aren’t a very PDA type of couple and they keep things professional out in the field but something about the club and the music gets them a little loose. table to sitting on Rett’s lap. They’re giggling and flirting like teenagers, playing up their fake personas because something about that is really hot to them.

Rett: *hand sliding under Pyke’s shirt* Ya know, you’re probably do for a big promotion real soon. Pyke: *giggling* Mmh, reeeaally? How big we talking here? Rett: We can discuss it back at the hotel later, somewhere…private. Maybe my room? Pyke: *fiddling with Rett’s tie* Oh, Mr. Rye are you sure? What about your wife? Rett: What she doesn’t know won’t hurt nobody.

By the time they get called backstage to meet Pixel, Pyke has moved onto Rett’s lap and they’re just making-out at this point. They manage to keep it together long enough to properly talk with Pixel, still keeping close but not touching. By the time they make it back to the hotel and get Ziggy and Ko to bed they’re both back on each other like rabid animals. They don’t sleep for most of the night and wake up late the next morning. I think it would also be funny if Pyke woke up at the same time that girl leaving Ko’s room did, so they’re just staring at each other in the hallway like 👁️👄👁️

I've been thinking about this ever since I saw that episode 🙏 I am begging for someone to make a fic 🙏

Currently watching SdR: Overture and I always keep hearing from the fandom how whipped Rett is for Pyke and like sure I can understand that. But nobody told me how absolutely DOWN BAD Pyke is for Rett. Bro is constantly singing his praises and following him around like a lost puppy. "Oh my partner is so smart!" "My partner is so cool!" "My partner is awesome and strong and reliable and did I mention smart!" Also, yall like to say how Rett can't say no to Pyke, can we talk about how Pyke does not even MOVE without Rett is approval. He's basically like "whatever you want babe. Anything at all. You want me to kill this guy for you? Say less." Then he's always constantly searching for him, always at his heel, always just sitting and admiring watching him. "Where are you going Rett? Can I come too? How am I going to protect you if I'm not with you?"

My specific post-Dust to Damnation family and ship headcannons because I'll probably never be over this campaign and I miss these bastards already 😭💕 (NOTE: I have NOT finished CoS nor have I even started on SDRA 😅 but i have seen a bunch of short clips about them) *I like to think that Portia and Quibly have triplets, 2 girls and 1 boy: Mycella Rose, Amanita Priscilla, and Quibly Jr. *Gideon is their favorite uncle cuz they can climb on him like a jungle gym. Gideon is very smug about this.

*They also enjoy visiting Shepherd at the jail house and having lunch with him. Its Rett and Portia's sneaky way of making sure the sheriff doesn't over work himself and actually eats a proper meal. Shepherd for the life of him cannot say no to these kids. *Quibly and Portia invite Rett along to poker night *They also ask about parenting advice and how best to baby proof their living quarters before the triplets are born. *Quibly is now also called upon alongside Gideon to help out Shepherd if things start getting too rowdy. He has gained a much more intimidating reputation because of this, Portia is very proud. *Portia is now co-owner of the Widow's Garnet Saloon as Abe has taken a shine to her assertive personality and unapologetic honestly. In truth she has made the place even more successful than ever before. *They all have family dinner at least once a week and always make sure to spend holidays together.

*(I don't know much about Daggerheart and am going to assume that the infernis species is like tieflings where they just randomly pop up in the bloodline via curse ancestry) *After rebuilding his saloon and taking up half the responsibility of managing the town, Abe decided that he needed some assistance. He hires his nephew, an alligator looking drakona from the swampy marsh outside the Dryland named Kremy Lecroux. He has the same type of ruthless audacity as his uncle but after mixing himself up with much more dangerous people than he could handle Kremy decided he needed to get his shit together. At his mother's behest (Abe's sister) he accepted the job as Abe's book keeper/assistant. *Speaking of drakonas, we got a new preacher in town. Sarnax is a humble if slightly necrotic desert nomad that grew up worshipping the fires of Kudamat. After witnessing the destruction brought upon the land by the colossus and finding out that the first Doom was truly the end of everything, Sarnax decided to stray from his tribe and rediscover himself. He began looking more into the old gods and their teachings and has moved to Eden as he believes it is a holy place where the spirit of the gods is most connected to the mortal world.

*Pyke is an elf man that used to hang around Rett and his crew before they headed out west to Eden. They got into a lot of trouble in their younger years though Rett will reluctantly admit that it was also a lot of fun. As Pyke is from a much more well off family he involuntary got involved with a lot of shady "family businesses". They drifted apart and haven't seen each other in over two decades. Now, beaten down by life and aimlessly wondering for purpose, Pyke has made his way to Eden looking for work and perhaps a familiar friendly face. *Neither Shepherd, Gideon, or Rett like any of each other's new "friends". As much as Abe helped them through armageddon and rebuilding the town Shepherd and Rett do NOT trust anybody he hires, especially if they're related to him. Despite Sarnax's new religious awakening Gideon and Rett are still a bit weary of him, it also doesn't help that he's lowkey a bit creepy. Shepherd and Gideon are firmly against ANYBODY dating their dad, especially not some hot-headed pink haired twink. *Quibly and Portia think this is all very funny but have also made it a point to give each of their family members' potential new beaus the shovel (i.e. shotgun) talk.

I miss them so much 😭💕
