The character Sonia, from the Zelda game, Tears of the Kingdom. She stands at the base of a gigantic statue of the Goddess Hylia, as found in the Forgotten Temple. She is a humanoid adult with long, pointed elf ears that stretch horizontally on either side of her head. She has bronze skin, and pale blond hair that falls to her hips.

Here, she wears her royal attire, which is a sleeveless white tunic, open in front to show a long jade-green stole over a dark red dress that falls just to her knees. There are vague golden-bronze patterns on the top half of the stole. The way I drew them almost looks like big clasps, very loosely joining the white tunic over the rest of the outfit.

The statue itself, as usual, is carved in broad strokes, more abstract than her design in the game. She has a tall body, like a steep bell curve, with a featureless round face and cherub wings. She glows silver white, with luminous blue shadows, and her wings are scribbled with pastel shades of pink and yellow, as well as hints of darker purple and bright blue-green.

The background is all abstract ripples in shades of mostly pale grey-beige, with patches of bronze and blue-green.

And, of course, I had to make a solo Sonia version. This was actually one of the earliest drafts, where I modeled her much closer to the in-game design. Thus, she’s wearing the royal tunic.

Image 1 of 3. Rauru, an anthropomorphic being with features primarily goat and dragon themed, from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. He has dark grey-green skin, a goat-like snout, and thick wavy white hair that cascades almost to his feet, accented with thin gold streaks here and there. His white furred ears are very long and pointed, almost like a rabbit’s, and he wears a long flowing rove in shades of dark blue-green jade and olive.

The background is an abstract patchwork of beiges, greys, dark jade greens, and bluish purples.

Standing before Rauru is a massive stone statue of the Goddess Hylia, her body carved in a smooth, slightly rounded, almost bell shaped form, her face a gibbous moon, a pair of small rounded angel wings spreading to either side of her shoulders. She is carved in shades of grey, with an iridescent patina all over.

At the Goddess’ base, a Hylian woman stands facing Rauru, her expression gentle and kind, hands clasped in front of her sleeveless white tunic. Her skin is variously bronze toned, with pale markings on her arms and legs. She has wavy blond hair that falls below her waist, and pointed ears that stretch horizontally, with a few laurel leaves peeking out from behind each ear.

Image 2 of 3. A close up of the Goddess statue, as described in the previous image. Rauru now stands close to the Hylian woman, facing the statue and gazing upward. You see the back of his long, cascading white hair, with a long ponytail secured with large bronze bands shaped like square spirals. In this image, he wears a shorter robe, which you can just see peeking out from below his hair and curving just below the back of his knees. You can see the back of his short grayish green legs. The image cuts off just above his feet.

Image 3 of 3. The scene has turned to evening shades of moonlit blue and dark green, with glowing aurora like wisps here and there. The Goddess statue is more shadowed and the iridescent patina stands out even more, as if glowing.

The woman’s white tunic has also taken on an iridescent tone, with light blues and rosy pinks.

Rauru has turned to look at the woman, standing in profile, his expression curious and cheerful. He now wears a long purple robe with gold accents on the hem, neckline, and sleeve. There is a scatter of white stars down the robe, and the bottom of the robe is pulled slightly back like a cape, so you can see a deep burgundy red skirt underneath.

Rauru holds his long arms clasped behind his back in a casual yet slightly shy stance.
