a photo of a traditional drawing in cheap metallic&glitter paint markers on even cheaper paper. it depicts a bipedal, serpentine with the head of a pipefish and legs and tail like a gecko's. its body is glassy blue with pink reflections, with glassy green feet and a more opaque golden tail. it is looking at the viewer with a smug smile. wispy pink and green smoke drifts from its mouth. ---- okay that's the end of the literal description. now im going to use this space to talk about this design because even though i feel embarrassed, i guess i want to say it. obviously this creature is a personification of cannabis. i designed it to be a creature that is both appealing and scary. something awesome, in the most literal sense of that word. i imagine it being immense, towering over you. it is serpentine, it coils around you comfortingly, but also constrictingly. the pipefish element is probably obvious. the green seven-toed feet call back to the shape of the leaf, and the toes themselves are shaped like tokes. get it? haha. the leg shape is also vaguely inspired by the shape of a bong i used to have. it's also sticky. the tail is sticky to the touch and the feet are inspired by a gecko's clingpads. the goopy tail is supposed to be like that icky resin that would build up but i didn't have good colour options so it's gold instead of brown. this feels really embarrassing to admit but cringe culture is dead or something
looking back at my old art i feel like its really obvious that i had a drug problem and get embarrassed. even though maybe its not and nobody cares . anyway this is from February. #traditionalart #furry #postfurry #quitdrugs #art
