Set during post-ARR and taking place near the Sons of Saint Coinach's campsite, G'raha walks up behind Ran, who seems to be busy with a sewing project. G'raha says "Ah, there you are! I've been looking for you—but you do know those ropes are there to stay behind for your safety, yes?"

Ran stops sewing and sits upright in response to G'raha's voice and approaching footsteps.

Ran turns around to get up and speak with G'raha, but smacks his face against the rope of the fencing in the process. He says "G'raha! What are you doing he—Ow!"

G'raha chuckles as Ran groans and reaches for his face. He says "...And that would be why you stay behind the rope—to avoid getting smacked in the face by one, for instance."

The camera zooms out far enough to show G'raha looking down at Ran as he says "Is the "real you" that I asked you to be in my company truly that distinctly different from the person you pretend to be in front of others? Or is it simply that you are still upset with that I saw through your act in the first place?"

Ran tenses up a little, a flustered expression appearing on his face as he sputters and says "Wha—no! I'm not upset! You just... caught me off guard. Everyone else seems to buy into it at least for a little while, so that someone immediately calls me out on it and demans that I stop pretending is surprising, that's all."

He then glances away with a somewhat pouty expression, moving the arm holding the washcloth he was using for weapon maintenance closer to where he's holding his hammer with his right hand as he continues to speak, saying "...Besides, weren't you the one saying you wanted to get to know me better? I-I know I haven't said much to help on that front since we got here, but we've got to start somewhere..."

G'raha is reading one of his books.

He then glances back around to find Ran, off to the side, staring at him.

G'raha places his hand on his hips as he gives a somewhat cocky grin and says "Is aught amiss? If I didn't know any better, one would think you are trying to drill holes in the back of my head with how hard you are staring."

The camera pans to Ran with a surprised expression on his face as G'raha keeps talking off-camera, saying "When you asked if you could keep me company during my studies while we wait for progress to be made by Rammbroes and the others, I was almost expecting you to talk my ears off the entire time, but you've been surprisingly quiet."
