I've spent the last month learning how to dye with indigo using Arashi Shibori techniques and made some books with it!
Used one of my favorite longstitch techniques for the binding, too.

I wanted to make a journal for the Chicago Stationery Fest this weekend, and got a little carried away. I had a ribbon from Valentine's Day, too, that I wanted to play with, and I wanted to learn to love French link stitches.

I got a copy of the book The Art of the Fold which walks you through a bunch of folded book forms and decided to start off with a pocket accordion with a cover and inserts.
I wasn't sure what to put in the pockets so I made little swatches of some washi I own.
