Aventurine leans into Ratio's personal space, pushing boundaries others dare not touch for fear of a pillar dropped on their skull, and Ratio lectures Aventurine on topics well beyond his scope of understanding. More than once their antics draw the gaze of horrified onlookers as they argue about ethics and philosophy, one earnest and engaged and the other laughing with his eerie lightless eyes. In some cultures, there are spectator sports where a man baits a dangerous animal into a performance. Dancing around their violent movements, coaxing out bites and blows and charges with choreographed movements. Perhaps that's why Aventurine likes their arguments so much. It's a welcome change to be the hand and not the animal."
