Kostel svatého Václava (Church of St. Vaclav, a.k.a. St. Wenceslas) A church with two clock towers? I never did get that. It was built in the 1800s, so nowhere near as old as many other buildings in the city. But it looked nice against the sky, so I snapped a photo.
My apartment/dorm was one street over from the Vltava River. This photo shows a bridge leading to an island in the river. It also features Malostranská vodárna (Malá Strana Water Tower).
Modern construction in the foreground and Pražký hrad (Prague Castle) in the background across the Vltava River.
I did not live in the suburbs of Smíchov, but I did go for walks in them. The hills in the area are huge. (It took me hours to reach the top of one.) This beautiful neighborhood is at the top of that hill. A car is parked along a street lined with verdant trees.
I'm feeling nostalgic, so here are some photos from when I lived in Smíchov, a district of Prague. I lived there for about a month before moving to Braník. More info in the alt text, and more photos on my site: www.almunson.com/photos/
