Una X-Mas IPA de cerveceria tiburón. Bouquet como a limón, muy cítrico. Una chela muy ligerona, ligeramente tostada. Fresquita y sabrosa. Un after taste bastante suave, puedes saborear un poco del lúpulo. No está mal!
Último viernes relativamente tranquilo antes de regresar de lleno a la rutina.
Vámonos con unas chelas de Tiburón acá en Xalapa.

Está es una Combi Banana Inc de cerveceria Santa Sabina. Una chocolate stout que por alguna razón tiene un bouquet con olor a fresa y vainilla? Siento que estoy tomando un helado napolitano. El after taste es dulce, quizás hasta exagerado a helado napolitano. Es cremosa y algo pesada. No estoy del todo seguro si soy fan o no. Porque en definitiva es un sabor muy curioso.
Con los años, he probado todo tipo de cervezas con diversos tipos de mezclas bien locas.
Es la primera vez que pruebo una cerveza que tiene sabor como a helado.

Está es una Selva Negra. Una American Porter de Brújula. Definitivamente menos amarga pero un poco más fuerte que la anterior. Algo más dulce también. Tiene un sabor más parecido al caramelo. Nada de aftertaste eso sí, una cerveza muy ligera. Está buena para botanear pero hasta ahí.
Está si es una Porter.

Una IPA de Mandarina Una cerveza algo amarga pero con un aftertaste muy dulce y cítrico. Puedes sentir el bouquet de mandarina luego luego. Una cerveza muy ligera y sabrosa, perfecta para iniciar la noche. No me imporaria tomarme una jarra entera de está, LOL.
Han pasado un par de semanas desde que estuve en un tap room o algún bar de cerveza artesanal.
Mientras buscaba el otro día en Google Maps di con este de Brújula en el centro de Xalapa. Así que por supuesto que vine a darme una vuelta.

A pint of Guinness beer. Not sure if I'm gonna say anything new about it. It's a very well known beer. A very toasty stout with a delicious aftertaste. Creamy and goes down really smooth. I only had experience with canned versions so having one that is served as God intended in a pint is new to me and yes, this is how every Guinness should be served. I will not take any other Guinness unless it is like this.
Sometimes you just have to go back to the classics. And let me tell you, as someone who has never been to the UK, I appreciate a Pub that can serve such a good pint of Guinness.

Mill Street Brew Pub.
A plate of poutine.
A flight of beers. From left to right. *Blue wave dry-hopped lager. A very light beer with some notes of melon. Very sweet. Goes down easy. *A Cobblestone Stout. An Irish style stout. Very milky and strong in flavor. Bitter but not too on the nose. There's some notes of chocolate and coffee in the flavor. Excellent beer. *An Oktoberfest Lager. This one gave me a strong impression. A very clean and strong lager. Very fresh in flavor. Love the sweet aftertaste of this one. Kinda like salted caramel. A very bold beer for sure. *Return To Base IPA. The closest thing I have tasted to a peach ring candy beer. Incredibly sweet but not too much so that it's annoying. Delicious honey-citrus after taste. This should be considered a dessert. What a nice beer.
Time for lunch. And yes, some poutine and some more beers.

It's a beer and a pretzel. The beer is a brunette by Old Flame Brewery. TBH there's not a lot to talk about this one. I felt it is very plane in flavor. A barely light bouquet of toffee and almost no aftertaste at all. I guess I shouldn't complain too much for a 5 dollar beer but thems the breaks.
That's enough public transit for a day. Time for a beer and a snack.

This is a New English Lager from Mascot Brewery. A very light lager beer. With a bouquet that is kinda like toasted caramel. Almost no aftertaste but you get a hint of nougat on the way down. Not bad.
I have been summoned. By beer. I must answer the call!

Amsterdam Brewhouse
Space Invader from Amsterdam Brewery. It's a very citrus IPA, got a bit of a fruity, sweet flavor. With an orange like bouquet and a cool citrus aftertaste. This was kinda nice. I liked it!
A Nashville Hot Crispy Fish sandwich with a side of fries.
Went to another bar. Saw they had a gaming themed IPA so of course I had to try it.

A paddle of four beers 1: French Fuse by Short Fingers Brewing Co and Beertown. Extremely citric, with a nice hazy aftertaste. Kinda honey-ish in taste. Not bad. 2: Fruit Jelly King by bellwoods. An extremely fruity beer. Acidic in taste but the aftertaste has pretty much all the fruits in the world. It has a delicious strawberry bouquet. This is really sweet and sugary but not too much so that it would be overbearing. Pretty good! 3: Raspberry Jam Stand by Nickel Brook. It makes its name proud. This has all the flavor of Raspberry in the name and the bouquet. A really sweet Berliner Weise. Has some tones of vanilla as well. I feel like I'm drinking a raspberry jam with some alcohol. It is pretty damn good tho. 4: Life in the clouds by collective arts brewery. This is excellent and I wish I had the stomach to drink a whole pint of this. A great IPA with a delicious honey bouquet, a milky taste and a hazy sweet honey like after taste. Incredibly good. One of the best I tasted today

This is "Wicked Awesome" by Nickel Brook brewery. It's an IPA with very fruity tones, a fuzzy peach aftertaste and a delicious fruity bouquet. This was a delight, almost honey like in taste. It is very sweet so extreme caution because it went down way too fast. Remarkable!
Some Korean BBQ wings with a side of veggies. This were HUGE and very tasty. Got spicy at the end but nothing I can't handle. Really good.
This is Dreams by Slake brewery. This gotta be one of the tastiest stouts I have ever tasted. It is kinda nutty in flavors with a pinch of coffee in the aftertaste and a cute vanilla bouquet. Delicious, simply a fantastic beer.
Walked into a Beertown, ordered some beers, and some Korean BBQ wings.
Love to be surprised by some good craft beers.

This is C’est What in the heart of Toronto.
This is a ginger wheat. A wheat beer from C’est What. It has notes of ginger and green tea. A very fresh beer. Kind of sour but not overly bitter. I kinda like it. Aftertaste had some notes of ginger where I’m sure it got its name. Not bad!
This is a 12 minutes to Destiny. A fruity beer which was incredibly sweet. Almost like a fruit punch. It did had a bit of a kick but the aftertaste was delicious. One of the best beers I had so far.
