A paragraph stating that a Minnesota climate goal is to densify development, so that people don't have to drive everywhere for basic life activities.

This goal is wildly missed in the #RethinkingI94 project. Neighborhoods have been asking for their streets to be reconnected and for highway land to be returned for development...MnDOT tells us that land use is none of their business.

Hey what's happening with the #RethinkingI94 project? MnDOT has plans. They don't appear to jibe with the community's needs for health, safety, economic development and equity--but they seem pretty great for moving cars.

@governorwalz.mn.gov and staff, please pay attention to what's happening here. Thousands of Minnesotans are desperately trying to end the terrible health, economic and equity impacts of Interstate 94 on our loved ones and neighbors. @mndot.mn.gov is doing the least it can toward #RethinkingI94.

I attempted a thread of today's #RethinkingI94 policy advisory committee meeting. It's a mess, but if you look at the pieces you will see some real heroic elected officials calling for a project pause; for solid environmental, economic and equity analysis; for neighborhood cancer studies & more.

Over on LinkedIn I asked if anyone is using the 5 month partial shut-down of Interstate 94 through the Twin Cities for a real life traffic evaporation study. The results would be incredible as a basis for understanding the traffic and neighborhood impacts of various #RethinkingI94 alternatives.

OK, not @thetransitguy.com's point, but this is what I envision lining the new parkway/boulevard replacing I-94 through #Minneapolis and #SaintPaul. Our suffering downtowns can't pull the property tax load by themselves--why not invite more neighbors to the party? #Better94 #RethinkingI94

I admit to having the time and resources to speak to the damage the #RethinkingI94 project team is inflicting on people of color in the highway corridor. I am also representing myself as an impacted resident. Seems to me that silence here would be complicit with white supremacy.

Remove the highway before it kills or disables one more Minnesotan.

#RethinkingI94. Dreaming is still legal. Implementation is still possible. No need to stop with a couple of Band-Aids when our cities are suffering from the effects of the highway trench in our midst.
