Rick Griffin painted this for an album by the Grateful Dead called Aoxomoxoa, and it was later used to promote concerts too. Rick sold the original painting in a record store on Telegraph Ave in Berkeley in 1975 for 5 grand. It took a long time to sell, and sat on the record store wall for over a year. It was huge, several feet by several feet, the original was larger than you’d think.
