A fantasy newspaper from the fictional universe of Blood, Ash, and Gunsmoke reading: THE SOLARIS REGISTER - The leading report of all major affairs this side of Elpidio's Barricade. Volume IX, Solaris, W.T., Cuitraday, Cetus 6, Year 91 C.B., No. 5
"UNTOUCHABLE" BOOKER VALDIS IN PEACEKEEPER CUSTODY FOR THE SEVENTH TIME. Will this time be the last? Many expect another impossible escape!
The article goes on with: TRINDAY THE 5TH - Following a nightlong spree of
theft and a hail of gunfire, a
number of members of the
notorious Red Crow Gang were
cornered by three talented
Peacekeepers in an alleyway
outside of Serpent's Brook's
Twinsblessed Taproom — the
elusive outlaw and leader of
the Red Crows, "Swiftfoot"
Booker Valdis included among
those surrounded.
While it has thankfully been
concluded that no civilians were
injured during the firefight,
Peacekeeper reports mention
that several of the Crows appear
to have been wounded, perhaps
prompting the eventual quiet
surrender of their leader.
While Valdis was said to have turned himself in without much fuss, Peacekeepers were unable to make any additional arrests
as they focused their efforts on assuring that this dangerous, criminal escape artist would be unable to get himself free as he
had in past instances of confinement by lawful officers both local and Territory-wide. The other members of the Crows present
at the scene during the arrest were said to have swiftly fled, abandoning Valdis for the time being. Citizens of Serpent's Brook
and the surrounding areas should remain vigilant for any suspicious activity during the following days, and report any signs of
possible Red Crow gatherings to local authorities and Peacekeepers.
The article goes on to say that Booker was quickly tried and sentenced to death by hanging, which would take place two days after the release of this paper in hopes of keeping him from an eight escape from the law.
The bottom of the newspaper is blurred out.
I am being oh so very normal about my nonessential visual set-dressing for Blood Ash and Gunsmoke LOL
