1. An exterior shot of Fortemps Manor in Ishgard at night, with a caption identifying it as such. 2. Inside, during a party, Alphinaud is looking up with concern at Sphene, who looks mildly ill. The former is dressed in a blue suit, while the latter is in her royal attire with a white dress, green and gold cape, and silver and bronze tiara. Behind them, an Alexandrian mechanical sentry stands guard. Alphinaud: Is aught amiss, Sphene? Sphene: I'm fine, I'm just... not used to this sort of thing. The last party like this I went to was... A cousin's betrothal party, I think? I couldn't have been older than ten when that happened.
3. Alphinaud turns around to look at Alisaie with an annoyed expression. Alisaie - wearing a simple black suit and with a red bowtie, which leaves her archon mark well exposed - is sneering somewhat maliciously at her brother. Behind her, Diana - wearing a red and black dress and red flower corsage in her hair - is giggling at Alphinaud's misfortune. Another sentry stands guard behind them. Alisaie: I couldn't relate - my family realized quick that marrying me off would just as like end an alliance as it were to form one - but I'm sure Alphinaud can. Alisaie: Who did Father try marrying you off to? The Byrde girl, right? What the hells ever happened to that? Alphinaud: Her name was Leveva, and last I heard she got herself lost in a Coerthan snowdrift. Besides, I can't imagine anyone still expects me to honor that arrangement after everything that's happened. 4. A wide shot showing the four - plus the two sentries - reacting to the presence of Apollo. Diana and Alisaie are smiling, Sphene is mildly shocked, and Alphinaud is taken fully aback. Apollo: There you are! I've been looking all over for you!
5. Apollo stands smiling as he introduces Rufin, a vaguely androgynous midlander man with swept back purple hair, wearing an ink blue swallowtail coat as he curtsies towards the group. Apollo: This is my friend, Rufin Byrde. He's a Sharlayan astrologer working at the Athenaeum here in Ishgard. Figured I should introduce you all to him while we're here. Rufin: A pleasure to finally put faces to the names. Ser Apollo has told me much and more about you. Truly, 'tis an honor to meet the esteemed Leveilleur twins. 6. Alisaie is smiling at her brother, who is blushing heavily looking at Rufin. Alisaie: So, Alphinaud, about honoring that arrangement? Alphinaud: *PANICKED HOMOSEXUAL NOISES*
As part of the Alexandrian queen's tour of Eorzea, House Fortemps graciously offered to host a party in her honor. When he accepted the invite to attend, Alphinaud never expected to run into a countryman from his own distant past.
