It’s not about taking additional risks, it’s about lowering my responsibility-level. The dogs are safe, happy. I’m the only one I (and possibly you!) need to worry about as I dodge copperheads and traverse knife-rock fields.

In 4 days, we will drive to Auntie’s. In 5 days, I will leave the pups at camp and head south. And in 6 days, I will start a BIG big-kid hike.
I am attempting 143 PA Appalachian Trail miles in 8 days. Beyond the obvious, let me explain why this is bonkers.
