On a personal level, apart from doing good work that I really enjoyed, I saw an old friend from first wave UK anime fandom that I hadn't seen for about 30 years, a very new friend from a recent #SeedTalk and lots of friends from times in between.

Winding down on the terrace of a bar in #Northampton after a fabulous #SeedTalk - terrific audience, sumptuous venue with a welcoming team as our hosts and my amazing coach; couldn't have asked for a better evening.

Ooooh, I had such a great #anime meeting today! Really excited! I hope I'll get the go-ahead to talk about it soon. Fingers crossed so can announce it on Tuesday at my #StudioGhibli #SeedTalk in Northampton, but if not, soon! I feel like I've peeked at the secret Christmas presents.

Honestly, if we weren't going to Brighton to do a #SeedTalk and see our mate Simon on his birthday, I'd be in the pyschologically indefensible position of wishing I could skip Brighton to go on editing. But that really would be vanishing too far up oneself.
