I live in France and am now French as well as British. I lived in the US for a year and the US was far more alien to me than france has ever been.

I listen to enough podcasts and radio streams from the UK and Ireland that I now have an internal conflict with the term “scheme.” Here in the USA a scheme tends to be shady. In the UK/Ireland the term is typically positive. Conflict! #SeparatedByACommonLanguage
