We are not sure when works will start but we know that replacing the current mast for one that is 2.5m higher (in order avoid signals being blocked by nearby trees and buildings) has been judged by the mobile operator to be the least intrusive option available. We know that getting clear mobile coverage locally can sometimes be frustrating and our colleagues Waverley Liberal Democrats have been campaigning for some while for better mobile phone signal coverage in their borough - which is not too far from Shalford - https://www.waverleylibdems.org.uk/mobile-phone-signal-petition - so it is good to see that there will be some improvements here in Shalford very shortly. #Vodafone #mobilephone #Shalford

Some of our more rural villages still remain in mobile signal dark spots with residents telling us that it can be difficult to reach emergency services.
