Welp... looks like ShareCG is already gone. Glad I did my last great downloading offensive while I could.

#poser freebie creators tended to be old, so a lot of those people are just gone now, so there is nobody to reupload.

I downloaded a lot of random #3dmodels from #sharecg and other places many years ago cause I'm a paranoid untrusting bastard (Who's laughing now?) but rarely used any, cause it's hard to find things.

Especially when the creator is foreign and the name on scg is english but zip filename isn't.

It's also impportant to note that the reverse is true. You should always check that the readme matches the GOOD usage rights listed on the site before installing.

If anybody is downloading what they can off #sharecg before it's gone, here's a tip: If you like something but find the usage rights unacceptable, download it and check the readme. Sometimes people make mistakes when posting.

Like if they have 93 "unrestricted" and one "all rights reserved" 😐

Oh, Jesus christ... I just found out that ShareCG is closing.

I don't use it often mainly because I've been hoarding 3d models for 25 years... but fuck... Another thing we could always count on... poof. Like most of the freebies on Renderosity just point there.
