By 1982, Shawnessy was built up to Shawnessy Drive
By 1995, Shawnessy extended up to Shawbrooke Road.
In 2001, the whole of Shawnessy as we know it today had still not been built up all the way to James Mckevitt Road. It would take another 2 years to do so.
At the 2021 census, #Shawnessy had a population of 9,055. In 2016 it was 9,485.
Development of Shawnessy began in 1980 and continued until 2003.

In the process, we covered a distance of 31.84 kilometres.

Today we discovered another hidden gem in #Shawnessy: the Blum Residence on Shannon Road.
When it was built in 1963, this home was outside of the City. By the 1990's it was enveloped by the westward expansion of the new community of Shawnessy.
