Notes: Beacon Hill Sorcerer series 7.5 books (so far) of urban fantasy and paranormal romance. The original main character Angel is just my cup of tea. Sarcastic and grumpy, extremely powerful but has a heart of gold and a strong moral compass without being a prude or a condescending hypocrite. And his familiar, The Wee Beastie Eroch, is absolutely adorable. Interesting universe, excellent world building and character development. The perfect ratio of backstory / thriller / romance / spice / battle and overall story. Not too much or too little of anything. Joel Leslie did an amazing job as always bringing the story and characters to life. After binge listening so many books of same series, I'm suffering from separation anxiety. Luckily not too bad since the last book ended in a cliffhanger and next one will be released on Dec 23rd, so l don't have to say goodbye yet.

Greg flinched away, opened his mouth, but Angel snapped his fingers at him, and Greg stopped before he started. "Someone who won't lie to me, if you would?"

Angel's first bit of dialogue. And wow does it quickly lay the groundwork for his whole character! I love when authors can do that.
