COMING IN 2026 FROM SHOTGUN HONEY: DAYDREAM BELIEVER CRIME STORIES INSPIRED BY TRE MUSIC OF THE MONKEES Edited by Lawrence Allan and Michelle Kubitz Submissions open Oct 1 We are proud to announce an upcoming anthology of crime stories inspired by the songs of The Monkees, publishing next fall from Shotgun Honey! DAYDREAM BELIEVER is a charity anthology that will benefit the American Library Association (ALA).  Lawrence Allan and Michelle Kubitz are teaming up to curate this anthology of crime stories that will embrace the nature of the show: funny, topsy-turvy, and targeting the status quo.  Stories (between 3,000 to 5,000 words) should be recognizably crime fiction, but we welcome experiments with setting, era, and elements of other genres. Diversity of voices is valued, and authors of all identities and backgrounds are encouraged to submit. Submissions for this anthology will open on October 1, 2025, and close on November 1, 2025.
