I know I've spoken before on how much I'm loving my #Chess club.
Tonight one of our members (2200, I'm 1100 on a good day) came early to help me with my #SicilianDefense.
I learned a lot including the answer to a position I end up in often!

I'm having a hard time getting my head around it. I like the Advanced Dragon and Najdorf variations but I need to understand the theory behind the Sicilian.

A Sicilian in which I played the Alapin. My only mistake on turn 13 was an echo of an early inaccuracy: hesitating to play d5 back on turn 5! Black should have played d5 to stop me from doing the same, rather than fianchettoing their bishop right away.
