I gave in to nerves, broke a few sprigs off the herbs, rinsed them, then put them in his water bowl.
He slurped them up like spaghetti!
Its actually a wonderful feeling to finally have him enjoy something I grew for him!!!
I just wish id planted more now since most of these grow SO slowly.

Breadbun didn’t have any more episodes today & I’m fairly certain dehydration was the culprit.
I have provided him with 3 additional sources of water that he keeps hoping is treats BUT ALAS tis only more water!!!

Several sites + forums recommend giving him still wet veggies, but hes eaten all those and we're still snowed in.
1 of the Cilantro plants ive been tending does have a long stalk I could break off but im nervous about feeding him something ive grown with zero experience.

I have the heat on in the house but not so high that I cant feel some chill because I didnt want him to get too hot in his fur coat.
But maybe its still too high?
I need a way to encourage him to drink MORE, maybe.

Lil man had a repeat of yesterdays fiasco & after more research there seems to be a chance that hes been dehydrated?
Hes got a bowl & a bottle in the playpen.
I prop him up in front of the bottle when he cant move & he drinks from it regularly for a few hours till hes fine again.

Im still taking him to the vet but im flabbergasted.
Theres no way a long nap + snacks fixed him losing all control of his motor functions earlier?????

He had not left his litter box since that post 5 hours ago and only moved slightly to eat or drink.
But he just now turned completely around, hopped out of the litter box, did a lap around the playpen, and started cleaning his feet as if nothing happened.
Happy but confused???

Watching him finally drinking water with relief but also avoiding false hope. I def gotta take him to the vet once the roads are open. Probably for the last time.
Also realizing once hes gone the fams gonna push even more for me to move in with sis so we can sell this house.

Ive freshened up his litter box & arranged food, water, & hay so he can reach it while in there.
He tried hopping out a few times but seems to have realized thats a bad idea since he cant keep upright without the support of hay.
The entire room is cozy warm despite the weather.

Hes been hopping, eating, drinking, etc fine since I made the last post, but in the last maybe 10 minutes hes started losing control of his legs & bowels.
There are no vets open on Saturdays and the weather has roads closed, your timing is shit old man.

Our cat Rhea is once again not eating and we don't know why. Money is tight and she is going to have to go back to the vet $500 would save us.

She was diagnosed with "fever with unknown origin." Thankfully the tests for heartworm, FIV, and leukemia all came back negative! They suspect possible bloodborn parasite (hemobartonella) and some other possibilities. No fluid in her lungs, xrays looked good...
