The artist titled this piece "there's a lull in my life", taken from the 1937 song written by Mack Gordon and Harry Revel for the film "Wake Up and Live". As an anecdote, I was listening to old jazz songs and came across Ella Fitzgerald's rendition of "There's A Lull In My Life" while drawing and the song stuck out to me and I believed the lyrics matched well to James Sunderland's character, hence the inclusion of the song.
