In most prior years, I would have spent the past few weeks at #SIPS2025 and #Metascience2025. This year, I did not attend.
This happened for two reasons. First, I was busy supporting @engys.bsky.social to put on our own conference: #ESAAfrica2025, the premier conference for experimental economics
Exactly two weeks ago, the 5th International Conference of @sipsplacebo.bsky.social at @jagiellonskiuni.bsky.social & @filozoficznyuj.bsky.social came to a close!
4 keynotes, 12 plenaries, 8 symposia (24 talks), 16 flash talks, 7 science slams, 109 posters, 8 highlights!

remarkable to me how much of (my) #sips2025 was about publishing reform, but how totally absent that has been from #metascience2025 (indeed, the very opposite with an elsevier VP joining a keynote panel)

Arrived Nanjing yesterday after #SIPS2025, it felt great to met many people in-person for the first time!

Back home after 3 weeks in Europe. Had a wonderful time teaching and traveling in Switzerland and of course attending #SIPS2025 in Budapest!
Closing Rreflection. This June, I chaired #SIPS2025 in Budapest 🇭🇺, celebrating 10y of @improvingpsych.org. It was a vibrant & inspiring meeting. We hosted workshops, hackathons, lightning talks, & unconferences on topics from AI & theory building to radical transparency, detecting data fabrication.
