教授の『out of noise - R』がきょう到着。2009年に発売されたアルバムのリマスター版。

15年前。ゼロ年代初頭にゆるっと集まったYMOが、エレクトロニカでひっそりと遊ぶユニットから、次第に生演奏主体のファンク・バンドへと変貌していく過程を追いかけていた20代。

そのさなかに発表されたこの作品をどう咀嚼すればいいのかわからないまま、何度も何度も繰り返し聴いたのを覚えている。これに出会ってなかったら、アンビエントもクラシックも今ほどには聴いていなかっただろう。自分の視野を大きく広げてくれた一枚。
