They are trying to get in front the storm which is causing huge tornadoes in SD right now. They want their equipment to study tornadoes.

Just a theory but it looks like his elderly 93 year old (Likely father) is at the nursing home in Sleepy Eye MN... he could take a boat down the Minnesota River til it turns into the Cottonwood River .... and get close enough to walk into the place to see his dad (Father's Day) #SleepyEyeMN
