“Doesn’t matter.” I rested my forehead down in my hands as I leaned on the table with a soft groan. The last thing I wanted was to focus on the conversation I’d had with him in the middle of an overwhelming panic attack.

 “Well, you look like something the cat dragged in,” my aunt sighed. “Breakfast. Then go shower and change. There’s a potential buyer coming today around eleven-thirty.

 I nodded with my head in my hands, frowning as a plate slid between my elbows a moment later, containing sausage links and a cheese omelet. A glass of orange juice bumped my right arm before a smaller plate with buttered toast on it appear next to my left. I looked up at her, miserable and not hungry at all, but she gave a stern point to the food and went back to finishing up coffee for Uncle Jack, Pauly, and Jer.
