You enter a filled with piles of gold. But despite the vast ocean of shimmering riches. You notice, a singular chest at the center Not a single decoration or mark, hell not even slightly gilded. Just a normal, everyday, run of the mill dungeon chest colored a deep red. You all collectively agree that its a mimic and decide to investigate... After a few rolls, some arguments, and 1 HOUR OF REAL-TIME, all your checks succeed. Your DM states "You spot nothing amiss with the chest, no signs of tampering biologically or magically" Seems innocent enough you all think The dwarf reaches forward and attempts to open it, as the rest of the party braces for battle Aaaaand- the chest opens as normal "Huh it was just a regular chest" says the dwarf Everyone sighs with relief, but just as you all let your guard down. The pile of gold grabs the dwarf and quickly wraps the room! Your party is taken aback! One member snared and the beast is at an advantage! With everyone surprised, the monster will strike first. With that said Roll initiative And remember players It isn't always the chest...

As you exit the dungeon you can't shake off the thought that "it was too easy" This dungeon has been known to swallow any adventurer that dares tackle it and yet here you are a few steps away from the exit But just as you reach for the rusty gate, a drop of liquid hits your pauldron You look up to see a skull encased in a goopy substance as it slowly writhes before opening its slitted maw to lunge at you Roll for initiative
