Stop buying $30 “wireless” earbuds that sound like a tin can on a string. 🎧 Your ears aren’t a cheap cash register—give them a proper set or you’ll end up hearing static while your bank account bleeds. Save the junk for the trash bin, not your playlist. #SoundTruth

The sound didn't match when it faded because from what she was saying and how she felt sounded more emotional in a way. #hwa3 #soundtruth

Whenever you play the music with the prompts for hanging with ashley it always creeps me out. #hwa3 #soundtruth

#hwa3 #soundtruth in the heart of a dog recording, the background music goes silent towards the end, as the narrator recalls traumatizing events. this tells me that the calm (represented by the music) is no longer there

#hwa3 #soundtruth There was a moment when her voice stayed calm, but the background sounds got eerie. Even tho her choice of words sounded controlled, the voice itself made me anxious. It was like trying to smooth or erase the creepiness of the story.

#hwa3 #soundtruth I think when the Kanye song came on. It told me that now a days theft etc is still done taking away from “real” work. The sound honestly just portrayed how things are so shifted now a days.

#hwa3 #soundtruth I kind of touched upon this already in the # storyaboutastory post, and I think it counts, but the tone of her voice since the beginning kinda put me on edge. Made me sit up in my seat and even pointed my ear towards the screen as if it would help me hear out anymore strange-

#hwa3 #soundtruth Because although the narrator says she fell, the sudden "thud" indicated just how bad of a fall it was.

#hwa3 #soundtruth idk if this counts entirely, but during the narration story at the end, the shift from brighter music to a sudden drop, although this happened simultaneously with the words explaining what was going on, really had an impact on me, told me what was going on.

The sound that plays when you show the questions are very bothersome and gloomy. The images in the background do not help either. Honestly it made me nervous and stressed out. It contrasts the usual bubbly content and it really takes you out of the moment #hwa3 #soundtruth

The beginning scenes of the heart of a dog snippet seems so innocent, children seemingly playfully screaming. The sound made me think the mood was light, yet was directly followed by a serious, disheartening story to hear. The sound and the content were polar opposites. #hwa3 #soundtruth

During the questions at the end of each section, there is very intense/upbeat music when I feel like the content is very chill and casual because it is just discussion posts. It makes me feel more stressed in a sense to get it done faster. #hwa3 #soundtruth

#hwa3 #soundtruth one moment that felt disconnected w the sound and content was actually Ray Charles soundtrack in which the soundtrack was a reference of the Duke "It Must Be Jesus" soundtrack, but the content itself was different and less devotional to religion, and instead to romantic partner

The beginning of the video, the music (sound) there made it sound more than just an intro you know. It made me feel like that it could’ve been an intro for something even bigger than just a hour video. #hwa3 #soundtruth

#hwa3 #soundtruth one moment was when I heard Anderson speak in a calm, almost flat tone while the background sound stayed cold and empty. Even though her words sounded normal, the sound made me feel tense.

A sound that didnt match its content was thr "It must be jesus"song, though I understand its more of a cultural reason. When it comes with Gospel music, I understand that black churchs are more lively and gaiety, as opposed to hispanic churches(mine), which are somber in tone.

#hwa3 #soundtruth One sound that stuck out to me was the sound that came with each intermission for the prompt questions. I was a little confused with the horror-like sounds when responding to the questions on Bluesky....

literally a few hours ago i heard something fall down the stairs and immediately thought someone fell. it wasnt someone that fell but something. regardless, the sound made me panic because i was scared that someone got hurt when in reality nothing was hurt except a box 📦 #hwa3 #soundtruth

The music for each chapter this session caught my attention more than usual. It felt like a moment of realization was going to arrive this session and in a way it did. #hwa3 #soundtruth

The laughing and sounds of fun from children in the beginning was a stark contrast of what the rest of the story would be. It made me feel nostalgia #hwa3 #soundtruth

The silent ambiance which faded in and out at different points in the audio recording added to the eerie and disturbing mood set by the story. For example, when she took us back into the setting of the ward. #hwa3 #soundtruth

When it went quiet. When listening became more than something u can do with ur ears but rather with ur chest and heart #hwa3 #soundtruth

When the sound faded out while she was talking, it didn’t match what she was saying and made the moment feel heavier. The silence forced me to focus on the emotion instead of the words and showed something deeper was happening.

#hwa3 #soundtruth In the story where she jumps off and falls on the concrete missing the pool. The BOOM/BAAM when she hit the concrete physically made me wince thinking of the pain

The very beginning of hwa3 the opening sound gave me the last scene of a movie vibes, but it was the intro. The sound gave of ascending emotions and feelings.

helpless and frightened at the thought that it could've been you in that position. #hwa3 #soundtruth

Around the 34:40 mark right at the start of Part 3 there was background music that sounded like trumpets. This sound reminded me of The Wizard of Oz for some reason, and it brought me to imagining I was watching the movie, even though the content had nothing to do with this. #hwa3 #soundtruth

#hwa3 #soundtruth Like I mentioned, it was the thump of falling on the concrete in the story told by Anderson. All honestly... its early morning, and I am kind of tired and the coffee still needs to kick in... but that thump really did wake me up

When Anderson depicts the children screaming, crying, and dying in the hospital without any background music, it's as if she's limiting the scary and serious aspects of the situation.
