King Penguin preening, turned so all that can be seen is the colors and textures of the feathers in bands of yellow, black, bluish grey and a dash of white.

Here is that King Penguin I posted earlier in a slightly different position. This (and its close cousins) is one of my favorite bird photos ever because of its abstract nature. YMMV since it is less birdlike. South Georgia, 3.2022.
