#DuckDB #rstats that powers #spanishoddata will soon get the progress bar for long running queries getting and converting human mobility flows based on mobile phone signalling data. We are already testing this to have it available as soon as it is shipped with the CRAN release of #DuckDB.

Making static flow maps

Map visualization titled 'Dominance of Female Commuters in Urban Destinations Across Spain.' The map of Spain is marked with clusters of yellow and purple dots indicating commuter patterns. Yellow dots signify areas with more female trips, and these are predominantly urban, purple dots represent more male trips, and grey areas indicate no data available. The map highlights various regions with differing gender commuting dominance, revealing trends in mobility across Spain. Map author is Egor Kotov. Map is prepared for the #30DayMapChallenge, utilizing data from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of Spain and Nommom, using spanishoddata R package (member of rOpenSpain).

#30DayMapChallenge #points I looked at the ratio of male/female commuters. Seems like in most urban centers the commuting flows are dominated by women. Explore the data yourself with #rstats #spanishoddata package ropenspain.github.io/spanishoddata/ data: Ministry of Transport (Spain), Nommon
