The battery pack from an Apple Mac laptop, removed from the machine and seen on a flat surface. It is comprised of six separate lithium-ion cells of the pouch (prismatic) type. As is common with batteries from Apple products of its time, the cells are greatly swollen, hence the nickname "spicy pillows". The "spicy" part is because if the cells are ruptured, by external force or just from the swelling, they can spew burning organic solvents used in the electrolyte.

Oh, also, the old spicy pillows.
