Hey #SSSS2024 - putting a two hours post session at the same time as speakers and awards in an adjoining room? Not cool. 1) hard to hear anyone asking questions at the posters but 2) it didn’t really matter since no one was coming by, since everyone was at the awards. Plus accommodations not met!

Really enjoyed Rod Turpin's presentation at #SSSS2024 about barriers to PrEP uptake among Black Sexual Minority Men - turns out anticipated healthcare stigma is a HUGE barrier. It's hard to ask for help from someone who you expect to discriminate against you based on their assumptions.

My little measurement heart is loving this plenary at #SSSS2024 from Douglas Knutson - we proooobably shouldn't just dress a measure in drag to try to apply it to queer communities, we probably need to create a new scale and revisit how existing measures were created in the first place. 👀💃

Our big take-home message was that people’s disgust sensitivity impacts their perceptions of male same-sex CNM relationships but not perceptions of female same-sex CNM relationships

Great presentation at #SSSS2024 on how some HIV+ and HIV- GBM think about using U=U as an HIV prevention strategy and, unsurprisingly, relationship context matters! Many guys reported mainly feeling comfortable using this strategy in the context of a more committed, trusting relationship.

My conference fit today is queer queer queer. It’s a sexuality conference, but an academic one, so gotta balance my Dr. Frizz vibe with academic drag.

And masking my whenever I leave my room because pandemic is still happening!

Conferences; do this. To all your bathrooms. It hurts literally no one, makes trans and gender diverse folks and parents feel more welcome, and also cuts down lines in your are in a more heavily gendered field (either way).
