The front body of a really nice Telecaster style guitar. The body is dark woodgrain, with a black pickguard. Chrome knobs, bridge and pickup cover. In the inset, you can see the body is three layers of wood - dark grain front and back, with a thin cream-colored slice in the middle. The neck and fretboard are also dark woodgrain, but lighter than the body.
Back of the guitar body. What looks like a "real" Fender chrome plate attaches the neck to the body, but the unevenly aligned ferrules where strings go through the body to the front is a huge clue this isn't a real Fender.
Front of the headstock, in classic Telecaster shape. A well made "Fender" registered sticker is in the appropriate location, and is even under the finish of the guitar! A forger's attention to detail!
Back of the headstock with another well made "Fender Custom Shop" sticker. Also under the finish. Tuners are chrome and generic - another clue this isn't a real Fender guitar.

Finally sold my #Fender #Starcaster, but then couldn't bear that empty wall hanger. Doubled my $ on the Starcaster, so I couldn't resist this very well made but fake Custom Shop rosewood #Telecaster

Hot damn! It's pretty hard to find any good video of a decent band using a classic Fender #Starcaster. Now I stumble on a good band using TWO OF THEM!?!?!!??

To be clear, when I mention #Starcaster, I'm talking about the semi-hollow that debuted in the late '70s. NOT that cheap entry level Strat throwaway model. Offset body, and unique headstock that looks like an axe head. Mine is a "Modern Player" reissue from 2013.
