A photo showing the cargo box of the cargobike. It contains straps which enables two small people to be transported.

A photo of 3 musicians performing in Walsh’s bar in Stoneybatter. In the foreground, Lizzy Murtough is singing and has a small Casio keyboard on her lap. Behind her is Brian Mooney, singing and playing guitar, and in the back is Dan Luke on another keyboard.
We were treated to the musical highs of The Next New Low’s latest release, the Unreachable, in Walsh’s last night.
Brian was accompanied by the brilliant Daniel Luke & Lizzie Murtough…what a gorgeous evening in the parish.

A photograph of a cat, standing on a head-high window cill. The cat is rubbing its side against the pebbledash of the wall on the right hand side, and is yawning with its mouth open very wide. In the background is the junction of Arbour Hill and Manor Street, making the cat appear enormous in the foreground of the image.
I am cat, hear me roar…

A photography, looking up Manor Street, at the junction of Arbour Hill (just to the left). It’s a beautiful summer evening, very little traffic, and the sun is setting over the rooftops, dramatically illuminating the clouds overhead.
Soft evening in the neighbourhood…

My plan for the moon the other night got messed up at the last minute, necessitating a scramble to an alternative location. Happy with what I managed to salvage; looking south on Olaf St. with the Strawberry moon rising over the neighbourhood

An image showing the entire facade of a terrace of two storey red brick houses on Arbour Hill, Stoneybatter, dating from the late 19th century, or very early 20th century. The terrace goes from No. 20, on the right hand side, up to No. 29 on the left. Each house has a bay-window at ground level, and a recessed porch area at the entrance door. All the houses are set back slightly from the footpath, separated with a small boundary wall with metal railings, and piers at the entrance gates to the properties.
The narrator had walked down from "29 Arbour Hill," (the house on the left of this terrace) where an old plumber named Geraghty" lived, and who was refusing to reimburse a grocer "by the name of Moses Herzog."

A photograph looking westward at the junction of Manor Street with Arbour Hill in Stoneybatter, Dublin. On the right is a mid 18th century brick building which has been painted black. At ground floor this is a bar called the Belfry, with 2 floor of accommodation overhead. The building has a straight parapet to the street, and a chimney piece is visible to the right of the building. On the left corner is a smaller, but equally old building, previously a hairdresser unit at ground floor, with a corner entrance, with an apartment overhead. A heritage street lamp stands outside the building. Arbour Hill goes west from here, and comprises of a mix of single and two story houses. A slight turn to the right is visible at the center of the image.
"I was just passing the time of day with old Troy of the D. M. P. at the corner of Arbour hill there and...who should I see dodging along Stony Batter only Joe Hynes.’

It is a poster with pictures of two lost cats, Manolo and Maneco, who are brothers and very close to each other. There is a phone number on the poster for poeple to wring if they have any information on their whereabouts.
I saw this poster for two cats who escaped from their home on Blackhall Place.

I have to applaud @thejournal.ie because they seem to be the only news outlet actually interested in debunking falsehoods around these incidents.

Not even subtle any more.
A night time photograph of the Lilliput Press, an independent publisher of Irish related literature. The building is on a corner and is an early 20th two-storey brick building, with a flat roof. At ground floor there is a corner entrance and large windows on either elevation. There are two windows at first floor level, with one of them illuminated from a light in in the apartment up there. On the left is the gable end of a brick two story house at the end of Viking Place. There’s a STOP sigh just to the right of it. Just to the left of the Lilliput Press, is Sitric Road, with a long terrace of two storey brick houses heading off in the distance.
I love it when things quieten down…

A poster taken at dusk, with a photo of the Lilliput Press on Viking Place. It’s a two storey, flat roof, brick, early 19th century building located on the corner of Viking Place and Sitric Road. A night time photograph, with a landscape ration of 1/2. The photo is taken looking south on Manor Street, in Stoneybatter, Dublin 7. On the left is a 3 storey brick building with a shop on the ground floor. Centrally located is Walsh’s bar, another 3 storey brick 19th century building which sits on a corner site. Christmas wreaths are located between the windows at first floor level. To the left goes Benburb Street, and to the right Manor Street goes towards the Liffey. Spanning the width of the street, at the top of the image, are the Christmas lights, which read ‘Welcome to Stoneybatter’
The Christmas lights were turned on today in #Stoneybatter. I couldn’t make it along, but here’s one from a few years back, when the lights made their first appearance.
