Part of the reason I didn't give up Twitter is because I follow a lot of Kenyan and Ghanaian news + commentary on there.

The #StopGalamseyNow tag has been quiet over here for months but has been revived on Twitter with recent protests. The class analysis happening over that tag is really clear.

Interesting to see what will happen to Ghana's economy and its people. Proposed solutions by NDC include amendment of the Mineral and Mining Law. However, Galamsey is often an occupation chosen out of necessity so new initiatives needs to go hand in hand with other policy reforms #stopgalamseynow
