From what she is saying, she sounds sad but she is telling her experience of her time especially when she was in the hospital. As she is saying her story the sound drops and her voice slows down as she is remincising what she had forgotten. #hwa3 #storyaboutastory

I don't like how the sound completely stopped at the end #hwa3 #storyaboutastory

I noticed the sound of children in the background dissappeared soon after it started. #hwa3 #storyaboutastory

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory i thought the music in the back would pick up when the story became mor eintense, but the opposite happened. as the narrator got to the end, the music went quiet when the events were serious

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory the way the narrator intertwines the stories from teh hospital to the rabbit and back to the hospital ruins the mundane linear progression we are often used to, it makes the narration more compelling

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory i find it interesting how she described the burn victims as rotisseries. the imagery is very grotesque but descriptive and clear

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory uhh ngl like im not relaxed but I understand exactly what she’s saying. I also speak fast so that’s why it matches well. The Rhythm is very consistent but the mood is like calm/fast. I think what’s missing is excitement. Her voice is so consistent it’s missing a spark.

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory At the end her voice almost turns sharp and mean for a second, then there’s silence. That shift hit harder than if she had been emotional the whole time. The calmness is what makes it scary. i see that shes talking about some incident but why so calm? Made me very uneasy.

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory We randomly go from hospital story to a gray rabbit and back at the hospital where staff is leaning over a bed to say hello?? The memory shifts are so smooth but so unsettling. Im hiding in my blanket LOL

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory The way she says things like “trauma unit” and “burned” with zero emotion is wild. How are you that calm narrating something that intense? It makes it feel even scarier.

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory Her voice is so calm and soothing but also kind of robotic?? The music underneath is lowkey creepy, especially that thud sound when she described the accident. I feel relaxed and uncomfy at the same time.

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory Her soft yet eerie tone, combined with the slow speaking, made me suspect that the story she was about to share was not a lighthearted one. The tones shift when she changes her voice's pitch + the connotation of her descriptions. She definitely set the mood by altering-

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory there is a shift now...now she's talking about how her story exists within a multitude of stories, especially within the larger context of the hospital situation and how the sounds of kids dying are suddenly more vivid in his memory. the sudden change in music helps emphasize

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory what does she mean by the little "rotisseries" children were hanging in?

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory I find that the fact that the narrator begins the story with a statement of not believing adults with sounds of children laughing is an interesting juxtaposition and very impactful.

The texture in her voice is very metallic and robotic. She pauses the music in the middle of a emotional moment then shifts it. I feel like it's lacking passion. I feel like she does not care. #hwa3 #storyaboutastory

Her shift makes it seem like she is remembering for the first time; it makes it feel like an out-of-body experience. #hwa3 #storyaboutastory

The music is too calm for the story; it is scary. The loud crash during the fall makes it more intense. It also builds when something intense is happening, adding to the mood. #hwa3 #storyaboutastory

Her voice is very consistent, which keeps me engaged. It seems almost too calm, it's eerie #hwa3 #storyaboutastory

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory Memories are not as fixed or reliable as we might think they are. They are malleable and when we retell these stories, can be altered. It makes me wonder if we can trust our memories at all.

The ambience is very prevelant. I cant help but feel creeped out. Theres a second layer of narrative.

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory is it just me, or is the audio making you feel uneasy?

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory We went from talking about rabbits to now talking about JFK. Can someone please tell me what is going on😂

#hwa3 #storyaboutastory early thought: her monotone voice gives us a sense of a depressed, dark story

i think its interesting where the narrator says "everytime you tell a story you forget it." i had a similar discussion about this in one of my classes (was it this one? idr) and i think it speaks a lot of truths. every time u say a "truth" it slowly becomes fiction #hwa3 #storyaboutastory
