Constitutional #subsidiarity is the answer. Then nobody would worry how national politicians get elected. It's the massive centralisation of power which makes it an important issue. Incidentally, centralisation is also why the UK is so vulnerable to influence by media, lobbyists and Russian trolls.

Natl. & transnatl. leadership at the highest levels knows that the Westphalian system is overcentralised & obsolete.
They have accepted that power must devolve sharply, not to single layer of states as in prev. federalism, but to many layers.

Same with #subsidiarity. I suppose the best word we can use there is somewhat jargon-ish, namely #localism. Local also implies *only* local, which doesn’t capture subsidiarity entirely. There might be a better phrase.
Another one is #subsidiarity. I do want to go on record saying #ASP can also refer to a lot of other things (click on the tag to see what I mean). I had been using #AmSolidarity since that is the party's Xitter handle.
