What is the best aspect of writing your story?
As a discovery writer my favorite part is the curve balls I throw at my character to see how they will react under pressure. That, or having the pushover get the hero journey treatment

A conversation I wrote between two of my characters, Lily, a werewolf, and Aria, her succubus gf: I watched as the woman staring back at me mirrored my movements, watched the nervous fiddling with the glossy black buttons of her blouse, watched as she cuddled with her make-up, preening herself, brushing stray hairs back up into the tight silver bun on her head. I smiled at her, a warm fang-cornered smile returned to me. "Still too much fang." I groaned. "Did you say something babe?" Aria called from the kitchen. I could hear her getting the glass for my orange juice, smelled it as she opened the jug. "They told me to smile for the press conference before, but try not to have so much of my fangs showing." I turned leaving my reflection to the bathroom, as I join her in the kitchen she pressed a cold glass into my hand. "No matter what, I can't seem to get it." Aria smiled, tiptoed up to plant a kiss on my cheek. "It'll be fine. Come on, drink up, they'll be here soon."
A part of my rough draft I'm really proud of right now. I know it can probably be improved but instead of just "looked in the mirror" I wanted something a bit more robust. (And yes there's alt text, I typed it out.)
