Did you know that the potato Chip, a billion dollar industry, was created by an African - American chef named George Crumb And it all started with a really picky customer. In eighteen fifty three, Crumb was working at a restaurant when a customer kept sending his fries back, saying they were too thick and soggy, so Chrome got mad, sliced them paper thin, fried them until they were crispy and drowned them in salt. The dish became so popular that Crumb started serving them regularly. And boom, the potato chip was born. But like many black inventors, Chrome never patented his idea, and others cashed in on his genius. They don't want you to know how much Black innovators shaped everyday life.
